Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about protecting photos with BLURIT.
Does BLURIT upload my photo?
No. Your selected photo is opened as a local browser file. Face detection, editing, and export run in your browser; BLURIT does not receive your photo, face locations, or finished image.
What image formats are supported?
The first version supports JPG, PNG, and WebP files up to 25 MB and 24 megapixels. Your browser checks the file and image dimensions locally.
How does face detection work?
BLURIT downloads the face-detection runtime and model as website resources. The model analyzes your photo locally in your browser. Face detection can miss faces or select an area incorrectly, so always review the result before sharing.
Can I add a blur area if a face is missed?
Yes. Choose Add area and drag over the part of the photo you want to protect. You can move, resize, enable, disable, or remove a manual area.
Do I need an account?
No. The photo editor is available without an account.
What happens when I close the page?
The editor keeps the working photo in temporary browser memory only. Download the protected image before closing the page if you want to keep it.
